The 'Trainwreck' actress reveals how a former boyfriend abused her physically and emotionally during their relationship in the past.

In her memoir "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo", the comedienne revealed the physical and emotional tortures she had to endure at the hands of a boyfriend in the past. He criticized her looks on a regular basis and pushed her until she fell during fights.

One night, he broke a mug over his head and then "grabbed a huge butcher knife from a drawer." Schumer said, "And that's when I was sure he was going to kill me." "It can happen to anyone," The "Trainwreck" star wrote. "You're not alone if it's happening to you, and you're not exempt if it hasn't happened to you yet."

She also recalled another unpleasant experience with a different ex who took her virginity without her consent. "Without asking first, without kissing me, without so much as looking me in the eyes - or even confirming if I was awake," she said. He apologized the next day and she told him it was OK. "I was seventeen years old and wanted my boyfriend to like me," she explained.

Schumer additionally discussed her parents' divorce, revealing that her mom left her dad for her best friend's father. "One day after school I came home and saw my mother slumped on the couch. She'd clearly been crying hard," she remembered. Her mother who was a teacher of the deaf signed, "I am leaving your father. Lou and I have fallen in love with each other."

Like most teenagers, she had rebellious days. She remembered getting arrested for shoplifting from Bloomingdales with her sister. "Now that I'm all grown up and no longer driving up the price of bad tchotchkes in Old Sacramento, I've graduated on to the next-level hustle - making people laugh," she joked.

Now Amy Schumer is happily dating Ben Hanisch. She met him on a dating app "specifically aimed at creative people." She "took [her] profile down in under forty-eight hours" after she "liked" a few guys and matched with Hanisch. "We sent each other very simple hellos and short, funny messages," she said, before they met a few weeks later.
