The newly-released sneak peek offers a glimpse of young Cookie and Lucious and how their love story begins.

AceShowbiz - FOX has released a new trailer for "Empire" season 3 that teases how Cookie and Lucious' romance begins. It features flashback scene that shows young Cookie (Ajiona Alexus) and Lucious' (Jeremy Carver) first meeting.
"When I first saw you rap, it changed my life," Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) tells her ex-husband Lucious (Terrence Howard) in a scene set in present day. "It's always been Cookie and Lucious," he says. But Cookie apparently doesn't feel the same as she says, "Things between me and you ain't the same."
"Empire" season 3 premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 9 P.M. ET on FOX. Mariah Carey has been enlisted as guest star, portraying Kitty, a mega-superstar who comes to Empire to collaborate with Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) on an explosive new song.
Other guest stars in the upcoming season include Taye Diggs and rapper French Montana. The former will play a character who will be very much involved with Cookie and could be a new love interest for her.
