The Aaron Hotchner depicter has been suspended for two weeks from the CBS series after involved in a physical altercation on the set.

AceShowbiz - Thomas Gibson broke his silence after his explosive altercation with a writer/producer on the set of "Criminal Minds" was exposed. He has since been suspended and his future on the show is now in jeopardy after he allegedly kicked the writer in the leg during a heated argument.

The actor told TMZ that he only acted "in retaliation" after the writer became "aggressive." He said, "There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and always will."

The feud allegedly happened a few weeks ago when he served double duty as a director and actor for an episode. He flipped out and kicked the writer as their argument escalated. The writer was not okay with it and called his agent who later reported the incident to the network's top heads.

Gibson who has played the lead role of Aaron Hotchner on the CBS procedural crime series since its 2005 inception has been banned from the set for two weeks and his directing stint was scrapped. His contract is also reportedly under review.
