Katie McGrath, best known for playing Lady Morgana Pendragon on BBC's series 'Merlin', is tapped to portray Lena Luthor.

AceShowbiz - Lex Luthor's sister Lena Luthor is also coming to "Supergirl". Katie McGrath, who is best known for her role as Lady Morgana Pendragon on BBC's series "Merlin", has been cast in the role who will recur in the second season of The CW's series.

Described as "beautiful, powerful and enigmatic, Lena arrives in National City on the heels of her brother Lex's incarceration hoping for a fresh start," TVLine reports. Lena is taking over as CEO of her family's billion-dollar tech company, Luthor Corp, which has been tarnished by Lex's evil infamy.

Her goal is "to re-brand the empire as a force for good. Lena wants to be seen as her own person, separate from her brother. Kara is drawn into Lena's sphere and must determine if she is friend or foe."

"Supergirl" has enlisted a bunch of renowned characters for its second season, including Superman who will be portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin. Most recently, the Man of Steel was spotted battling a bad guy (possibly Metallo) on the set in Vancouver. It's unclear if it's Hoechlin or a stunt double who suited up for the scene, and it's also unknown who plays the villain.

"Supergirl" season 2 kicks off Monday, October 10 at 8 P.M. on The CW.

In other casting news from The CW's DC series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" has found its Commander Steel in Matthew MacCaull, who played the villainous Sebastian on "iZombie", EW has learned.

Commander Steel is a member of the Justice Society of America which also includes Obsidian, Vixen (played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Stargirl Dr. Mid-Nite and the previously introduced Hourman (Patrick J. Adams).
