The singer has dropped the California lawsuit against the producer, whom she's been accusing of raping and sexually abusing her, as she wants to focus on delivering new single and album.

AceShowbiz - Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, has ended her legal battle with Dr. Luke in California. The singer has just dismissed her California lawsuit against the producer, whom she's been accusing of raping and sexually abusing her, to focus on her music. The case, however, is still ongoing in New York.

"Kesha has dismissed her California action without prejudice while she pursues her appeal and other legal claims in the New York courts," says Kesha's attorney Daniel M. Petrocelli. "Kesha is focused on getting back to work and has delivered 28 new songs to the record label. We have conveyed to Sony Music and the label Kesha's strong desire to release her next album and single as soon as possible."

Kesha has been trying to get out of her contract with Luke's Kemosabe Record, which is owned by Sony, since 2014. In her lawsuit, she claimed that the producer abused her, causing her to develop a severe eating disorder, during the years they worked together. Luke has multiple times denied all those accusations, pointing out that Kesha herself swore under oath in 2011 that he never sexually abused her.

Earlier this year, a New York judge decided that the 29-year-old should continue to record her music under the label, a ruling she later appealed. Amid the war with Luke, she released her rework of Zedd's "True Colors" back in April before having her scheduled performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards blocked by Kemosabe. She returned to the event's lineup of performers after the label was assured that she wouldn't address her ongoing battle with Luke with her performance.

Luke's legal team has responded to reports about Kesha dropping her lawsuit in California. "If Kesha is voluntarily dismissing her claims in the California case, it is because she has no chance of winning them," the producer's lawyer Christine Lepera said in a statement.

"Earlier this year, she lost her meritless counterclaims against Dr. Luke in the New York Action. Recently, the California Court invited Dr. Luke and the other defendants to move to dismiss Kesha's claims in that action," she added. "Kesha never should have brought her false and meritless claims against Dr. Luke in any court. Dr. Luke's defamation and other claims against Kesha are still proceeding."
