The comic book writer Robert Kirkman admits he has changed the ending that he had planned for his popular zombie tale.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" could go on for more years, thanks in large part to the comic book writer Robert Kirkman. At the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, Kirkman revealed that he has changed the ending that he had initially planned for the popular zombie tale.

Kirkman once said he knew how the series would end, but "the end has changed." He said, "There was one version that would have had it ending as soon as everybody reached Alexandria." Had he not changed his mind, the TV show might have ended several years ago.

Also at the show's Comic-Con panel, Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan was asked whom his character killed on the AMC series. Morgan, who got into character, looked down to his co-stars before answering, "No one sitting here."

The panelists included Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Steven Yeun (Glenn) and Norman Reedus. While Morgan said no one on the stage would be dead, he could probably mean he didn't kill the real actors. So, none of the three characters are safe.

"The Walking Dead" returns with the seventh season starting Sunday, October 23 at 9 P.M. ET on AMC. Two "Walking Dead" specials will air before the season premiere. The first special, which is a preview of season 7, will air on August 14. The second special will recap all six seasons of the series and air October 16, between "Fear the Walking Dead" season finale and "The Walking Dead" season premiere.
