AceShowbiz - A new sneak peek at Tim Burton's "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" has been released. Some new footage is offered in this featurette along with behind-the-scenes look and commentaries from the filmmakers, author and actors.

The video highlights the uniqueness that the antagonists and protagonists have. The children can be seen showing off their peculiarities, including breathing underwater and flying. The footage also gives a close look at the villain which includes Baron (Samuel L. Jackson) and a creepy creature.

Ransom Riggs made "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" based on some old archival photographs he collected. Burton says, "I like Ransom's book, I like the fact that he made a story out of these old photographs. It just felt very compelling and mysterious." The director adds, "There's something that's quite poetic and beautiful about this whole world."

Riggs says enthusiastically, "When I heard that Tim Burton was going to direct the film, I was like, 'What? This is insane!' " Actor Asa Butterfield says, "Everything really comes together as a Tim Burton film." His co-star Eva Green adds, "It's refreshing that a movie says 'embrace your uniqueness, don't be ashamed of it.' "

The fantasy film follows 16-year-old Jake (Butterfield) as he takes the advice of his therapist to set on a journey. He finds the secret orphanage where his grandfather claims to have stayed as a child. As he explores its abandoned bedroom and hallways, it becomes clear that the children are more than peculiar. He is later given the task by Miss Peregrine (Green) to protect the children from horrible creatures known as Wights and Hollowgasts.

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" also stars Ella Purnell, Chris O'Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens, Rupert Everett and Judi Dench. It is set to hit U.S. theaters on September 30.
