Highlighting the condition of a slum in the South Bronx, the video shows the teens' love and passion for music.

AceShowbiz - Netflix is once again promoting Baz Luhrmann's highly-anticipated drama "The Get Down" with a new trailer. The video opens with shots of a slum in the South Bronx where everyone's future seems to be bleak. But some teenagers won't give up and pursue their dreams in music.

Set in the 1970s New York, the series follows a ragtag crew of South Bronx teens who are nothings and nobodies with no one to shelter them - except each other, armed only with verbal games, improvised dance steps, some magic markers and spray cans. It depicts how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco - as told through the lives and music of the South Bronx kids who changed the city and the world... forever.

Shameik Moore, Justice Smith, Jaden Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Brown Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jimmy Smits and Giancarlo Esposito star on this series.

Nas serves as executive producer alongside Luhrmann, Catherine Martin and Stephen Adly Guirgis. Luhrmann directed the 13-episode drama. The first six episodes will debut August 12 on Netflix, with additional episodes slated to arrive in 2017.
