Comic-Con: 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Footage and 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Villain Revealed

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch also debuts a new trailer for 'Doctor Strange' which shows the scope and the magnificent effects of the magic the titular character can cast.

AceShowbiz - "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" became the major attraction in Marvel's evening panel at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con. Director James Gunn led the movie's panel and debuted new footage for the sequel to "Guardians of the Galaxy" in Hall H on Saturday, July 23.

The panel began with Ravagers entering the room from the back door and taking over the stage. They also shouted insults at the crowd. The director later took the stage, followed by stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana and new cast member Kurt Russell.

The new footage was screened for the audience with Baby Groot stealing the show. The Ravagers can be seen making chaos, but decided not to smash Baby Groot. "He's too adorable to kill," Chris Sullivan's Teserface says. In another scene, Michael Rooker's Yondu sports an orange mohawk and walks through the Ravagers.

The movie presentation ended with a new video, featuring Walt Disney Executive Joe Rohde who explained the exciting new addition to Disney California Adventure. The new attraction is a theme park which is called "Mission: Breakout", coming in 2017.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" was also presented in the panel. Actor Tom Holland, joined by director Jon Watts, took the stage and talked about the upcoming film. The actor took to his Instagram to share the first look at the concept art featuring the Vulture.

"Doctor Strange" was also part of Marvel's evening panel. Star Benedict Cumberbatch came to the panel and was joined by other cast members, including Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Scott Derrickson spoke about the film and introduced a new trailer which sees the scope and the magnificent effects of the magic Doctor Strange can cast.
