People Are Upset Taylor Swift Uses Special Instagram Tool to Block Those Snake Emojis
Celebrity

Some are angry because they're not allowed to leave negative comments on Swift's page while the others blast Instagram for not blocking racist and worse comments on other people's accounts.

AceShowbiz - The internet isn't so fond of the way Taylor Swift handles haters who've been trolling her online. A lot of people are expressing their anger on social media after reports emerged that the country-turned-pop superstar used a special tool to automatically block negative comments on her Instagram page.

Swift is reportedly among several other high-profile figures given the opportunity to try out the tool that according to The Times is aimed to help brands and advertisers who don't want negative comments, which obviously will be bad for bussiness, on their Instagram accounts.

Numerous Instagram users then began complaining about it after they failed to leave the snake emojis on the 26-year-old star's page. As many know, the emojis were all around her social media accounts after her phone conversation with Kanye West was leaked by Kim Kardashian, showing that she lied about not approving the controversial lyrics on the rapper's "Famous".

Some users are simply pissed because they couldn't leave nasty comments on Swift's page anymore. "i got blocked from commenting on instagram bc i commented the snake emoji on taylor swift's recent," @yungjaim wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, others are upset because there are racist and worse comments on social media that don't get blocked by Instagram. "Because black should just 'deal' with racist comments on social media but Taylor Swift can't handle a snake emoji," @malydeve said.

"Taylor Swift gets the snake emoji blocked from her Instagram account but Leslie Jones is forced to leave media for harassment...," @grahamslexa tweeted, referring to the "Ghostbusters (2016)" star who was recently left in tears after random people insulted her for her looks.

Instagram hasn't confirmed if the special tool is why Swift's page is now snake-free, but they have told Daily Mail, "We're always looking for ways to help people have a positive experience with comments on Instagram. We're currently focused on providing tools to improve accounts with the most high-volume comment threads. We will use our learnings to continue to improve the comment experience on Instagram."
