The 'Same Old Love' songstress hints at dealing with identity issue in a cryptic note she posts after crying during her concert in Indonesia.

AceShowbiz - Behind her smile, Selena Gomez is hiding her problems. The actress/singer, who just turned 24 on Friday, July 22, gives her fans a scare as she posted a cryptic message on Instagram soon after performing a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday.

"Tonight I felt extremely unauthentic, unconnected to both myself and my music," read the note. "I've never really felt like my materials, wardrobe or a video could define me. I act on a moment and fear something that hasn't happened. I'm stagnant, I stay still and don't just sit with myself first and ask, 'Is this where I am, wholeheartedly?' I've always told the truth. I'm always true to my word, I've shown who I am but I need to rethink some areas of my life creatively and personally. Had to get that out."

She added in the caption, "Not being negative about anything I've done. I'm grateful for every single moment I get here -Indonesia you were LOUD and clearly inspiring. Love you so much."

Earlier that night, Selena got emotional when introducing her song "Kill 'Em with Kindness" to the crowd at Jakarta's Indonesia Convention Center. "The next song, before I go home, is a song that's so important to me," she said while wiping tears from her eyes. "Because I get really frustrated. I get stupid sometimes. I say things that I don't mean, or they come out wrong just because I care so badly. But the thing is, at the end of the day, no war anger has ever won, I do know that deep down in my heart I have to believe that we can love each other and always be kind no matter what it takes within us, I believe we can do that."

Before the concert, Selena was in good spirits, goofing around with her girl friends in Snapchat video and saying she was "very, very happy and excited" to be in Jakarta. "Everybody here is super nice," she said.

It's not clear what made her so sad, but she recently received backlash after defending her BFF Taylor Swift amid the former country darling's feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West over the rapper's controversial song "Famous". Selena tweeted at the time, "There are more important things to talk about. Why can't people use their voice for something that f**king matters?"

Her comment didn't sit well with some people who wondered why she had been so silent about current events. "Good question! Why haven't you or Taylor not said a thing about #BlackLivesMatter or police brutality?" one person responded.
