Comic-Con: 'Game of Thrones' Teases Season 7 With Production Video
TV

The cast, including Sophie Turner, Liam Cunningham and John Bradley-West, talk about their characters' future and reveal who they think should be on the Iron Throne.

AceShowbiz - HBO tries to tide fans over "Game of Thrones" season 7, which isn't premiering until summer 2017, by releasing an "In-Production" video. While the actors are not back on the set yet due to the sunny weather which can't reflect the gloomy mood of the show, the crew's already working behind the camera which is shown in the teaser.

Meanwhile, the cast including Sophie Turner, Liam Cunningham, John Bradley-West, Conleth Hill, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Kristian Nairn and more attended the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22. Rob McElhenney who was moderating the panel kicked it off with a parody starring him and his "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" co-star Charlie Day.

They were parts of the show in the video parody, poking fun at the repeated line on the show, "Winter is coming." McElhenney asked, "When the f***k is winter coming?" Day wasn't that eager to welcome the season as he said, "I don't have any shoes that aren't open-toed!"

Addressing the production delay, co-showrunner David Benioff said, "Winter is here and we gotta shoot where there are trees ... and we're waiting to shoot later in the year so we won't finish shooting until February and there's no way to get the show out there until summer."

While they always kept their lips tight, the stars dished on what they expected to see from their characters in season 7. Nathalie Emmanuel said of Missandei, "It's hard to know what the future brings for her but I think that she genuinely believes in Daenerys and her claim. Daenerys has saved her life and liberated her and acknowledged her brilliance... these are two women who respect and lift each other up. It's a really sweet friendship... so I kind of hope that Missandei continues to support Daenerys and they continue to be this girl power couple."

Sophie Turner talked about Sansa's relationship with Jon Snow. "She thinks they should be King and Queen of the North, I'm not so sure she's so keen on the Iron Throne anymore," she said. "I'm not sure she thinks Jon is capable of running Winterfell and the North... She doesn't think he has the intellect, the knowledge and the experience that she has, and I concur."

Asked who should sit on the Iron Throne, they all had different answers. Liam Cunningham enthused, "Knowing the deranged minds we're dealing with on this show... I have an image of a White Walker sitting on the Iron Throne... The Night King with a leg over an arm smoking a cigar."

John Bradley-West who plays Samwell Tarly answered, "Just out of pure loyalty, I'd say... Jon. Just because that means I may be there until the end." Nathalie Emmanuel's rooting for Daenerys. Conleth Hill claimed he knew, but he "can't say."

Turner wants "Littlefinger on the throne," which drew a loud boo from the crowd. She tried to explain it, "I just think it'd be fun, it'd be quirky, sadistic. We like that kind of thing. Come on we all watch 'Game of Thrones'."

Isaac Hempstead-Wright wants "a four pronged Stark dream team.... With Bran just sitting in the corner with a tree," while Kristian Nairn got positive response as saying, "I think Westeros deserves someone with honor and integrity so I think Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) would be good."
