Rihanna Cancels Nice Concert After Bastille Day Attack, Rep Confirms She's 'Safe'

The 'Work' hitmaker was in Nice, France when the truck attack took place on Thursday, July 14, but her rep says she's okay.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna has canceled her scheduled concert at the Allianz Stadium in Nice, France in the wake of the truck attack during Bastille Day fireworks on late Thursday, July 14. The show, which was part of her "Anti World Tour", was originally set for Friday.

The president of Nice, Christian Estrosi, announced on Twitter the cancellations of RiRi's show as well as other social events that were planned to take place in the city on Friday. He wrote, "Tomorrow the flags of the city will be at half mast. After the cancellation of the Rihanna concert, jazz festival is canceled."

The singer herself was in the city when the terror attack occurred, but her rep has confirmed that "she is safe. She is ok." She later took to Instagram to express her sympathy for the victims' families.

On Thursday night, an attacker who is yet to be identified drove a heavy truck into the crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks in the French Riviera city. He also opened fire into the crowd before police shot him dead. Up to 80 people were killed and dozens more were injured in the attack.
