Michele and Monteith's 'Glee' co-stars including Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Kevin McHale and Naya Rivera also posted heartfelt messages in honor of the late actor.

AceShowbiz - Lea Michele remembered her ex-beau Cory Monteith on the third anniversary of his death. Along with her "Glee" co-stars, the Rachel Berry depicter on the FOX series took to social media on Wednesday, July 13 to post emotional tribute to the late actor.

Michele posted on Twitter a throwback photo and wrote a heartfelt message to Monteith alongside it. "I know everyday you're watching over me, and smiling. Love and miss you Cory, everyday, but today a little more..," she said.

The 29-year-old shared the same picture on Instagram and captioned it with an equally touching note that read, "We may not have gotten to share a lifetime together, but the memories, they're the best of my life. Love you Cory."

Monteith, known for playing quarterback Finn Hudson on "Glee", passed away in 2013 from an accidental drug and alcohol overdose. Other co-stars taking to social media to remember him included Jenna Ushkowitz and Heather Morris who posted photos of Monteith on their respective Instagram account and used the hashtag #3yearswithoutcory.

"The time may pass but the warmth of your generous soul and the humility in your goofball nature will never fade. You are and always will be our quarterback. we miss you, friend," wrote Ushkowitz.

"Not only was cory the most genuine, always the guy to stop and say hi to fans, but he made everyone around him laugh....obv this photo is proof. He was our family. We miss u bud," Morris captioned a photo of Monteith taking a picture of them in a mirror.
