The 'Bad Blood' singer is reportedly hurt by her then-boyfriend's comments following the release of 'This Is What You Came for', his duet with Rihanna.

AceShowbiz - The real reason behind Taylor Swift's breakup with Calvin Harris might have been revealed. Rumor has it, the country/pop singer was upset with the DJ over his comments following the release of "This Is What You Came for", his new duet with Rihanna.

According to TMZ, Taylor actually penned the single. She reportedly did an early demo on a piano and recorded it on her cell phone before sending it to Calvin. The Scottish EDM artist loved it and they later did another demo together with her on the vocals.

The pair, however, decided not to record the track together. They thought their status as a couple would overshadow the song so Taylor used the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg on the credits to keep the publishing rights. The track went on to top the Dance/Electronic chart for 9 weeks and reach the top 5 on Billboard Hot 100.

But it was not the song's success that put Taylor off. It was reportedly Calvin's response during a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest to a question about whether or not he wanted to collaborate with his then-girlfriend. She reportedly felt disrespected when he replied, "You know we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though."

Although Taylor has the publishing rights to the song and is hurt by Calvin's comments, she reportedly doesn't plan to ban him from performing the single. Ironically, Calvin also once wrote a song with ex-girlfriend Rita Ora, but he yanked her right to perform it after their split.
