Craig Morgan's 19-Year-Old Son Found Dead After Going Missing in Boating Accident

Jerry Greer's body was recovered from the waters of Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee on Monday, a day after he got thrown out of his raft and went missing.

AceShowbiz - Craig Morgan's son Jerry Greer was found dead on Monday, July 11 after he got involved in a tubing accident the day before. According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the 19-year-old's body was recovered from the waters of Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee hours after he was reported missing.

Greer's family has confirmed his passing in a statement. "It is with deep sadness that I am confirming the passing of Jerry Greer (19), son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer," the statement read. "The Humphreys County Sheriff's Department recovered his body this evening after a search that began Sunday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee."

"The family is grateful for the outpouring of support and requests prayers at this time as they privately mourn this terrible loss... Funeral arrangements are pending," it continued.

Jerry Greer recently graduated from Dickson County High School and planned to play football for Marshall University this fall. Over the weekend, he was on a raft with another man when they were thrown from the raft. Greer never resurfaced despite the fact that he was wearing a life jacket when the incident happened. No cause of death has been officially released.
