AceShowbiz - Russell Brand confirms he's going to be a father soon. The 41-year-old comedian took to Instagram on Friday, July 8 to share a photo of him wide-eyed while peeking over "The Expectant Dad's Handbook".
"Right then. My Mum bought me this. Time to get ready! #trewlit #bookstagram #parenting," the "Get Him to the Greek" actor wrote alongside the funny snap.
Rumors of Russell and his girlfriend Laura Gallacher's pregnancy emerged back in May. At the time, Laura was reportedly five months along and is due in fall.
A source told The Sun, "Russell might have bedded many of the world's most stunning women but now it's all about Laura and becoming a dad. They have been living as a couple for the last six months and are determined to make a go of their relationship."
"It feels like a new chapter in their lives and the couple are enjoying every moment, including discussing baby names," the source continued, "Russell is absolutely made up. Most of his closest friends have children and he was desperate to start a family. He and Laura are thrilled to bits at the prospect of becoming parents. They have shared the happy news with close family and friends."
Laura started an on-and-off relationship with Russell in 2006 when she was teenager. They got back together in 2015 after his split from Jemima Khan and Katy Perry. "It didn't work out with Katy, who felt she was too young for kids - and there were conversations with Jemima," the source added, "But Russell is blissfully happy with Laura."
