The 'Beasts of No Nation' actor wears full costume as he hits the set in New York City to film his scenes for the adaptation of Stephen King's novel.

AceShowbiz - New images from the filming location of "The Dark Tower" in New York City have arrived online. They show Idris Elba in full costume, ultimately offering a glimpse at his character The Gunslinger in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's novel.

Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, the film revolves around gunslinger Roland Deschain as he roams an Old West-like landscape in search of a dark tower, which is rumored to be a magical portal to other worlds. It's slated to hit U.S. theaters on February 17, 2017.
Matthew McConaughey is expected to play the villainous Walter Padick a.k.a. the Man in Black. He was also recently seen on the set. The other cast members include Jackie Earle Haley, who is tapped to portray the fearsome vampire leader Richard Sayre.
