AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for Clint Eastwood's latest directorial work "Sully", a biopic of Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, starring Tom Hanks in the titular role. It shows the harrowing story of what was called "miracle on the Hudson" on January 15, 2009.

The trailer highlights the moments during the plane's forced landing. "No one warned us. No one said you are going to lose both engines at a lower altitude than any jet in history," Sully is heard saying in voiceover, "This was due engine lost at 280 feet followed by immediate water landing with 155 souls on board. No one has ever trained for an incident like that." He explains the accident is not a crash but a forced water landing.

The story centers on Captain Sully, who heroically lands the troubled US Airways Flight 1549 full of passengers on the Hudson River and saves all of his 155 passengers. However, even as Sully is being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an unfolding investigation threatens to destroy his career.

Based on the autobiography "Highest Duty" by Sullenberger with Jeffrey Zaslow, the film also stars Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney, Anna Gunn and Autumn Reeser. "Sully" is coming to U.S. theaters on September 9.
