The songstress, the subject of her ex-boyfriend JT's 2002 hit, reportedly wants revenge against him by featuring the sample on her highly-anticipated new single.

AceShowbiz - Justin Timberlake famously dissed his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears on "Cry Me a River" and even enlisted a Britney look-alike for its music video. Is it now time for the 35-year-old songbird to get revenge?

According to Perez Hilton, Britney has delayed her much-anticipated new single "Make Me (Oooh)" so she could include a sample of JT's 2002 hit song. The site admitted that the news might be just a random rumor for now, but it then said that a recent rumor about Britney spotted filming the music video in all-denim might indicate that the "mashup revenge" could really happen.

As fans of Justin and Britney may remember, the couple wore matching denim outfits while walking the red carpet of the 2001 American Music Awards.

The report about Britney planning to sample her ex's song, however, turns out to be false. Gossip Cop has contacted Brit's manager Larry Rudolph, who then told the publication, "Although this and all of the other rumors I've read surrounding the release of Britney's new single 'Make Me' are very entertaining, so far none of them have been true."

Britney's "Make Me (Oooh)" is reportedly set for release later this summer after previously pushed back several times. The song will be the first offering from the pop diva's new album, a follow-up to 2013's "Britney Jean".
