The lead singer reveals the band he formed with Joe Perry is closing its final chapter in one last tour next year.

AceShowbiz - Aerosmith is preparing for one last tour. Frontman Steven Tyler confirms in a radio interview with Howard Stern that they are going to embark on a tour to bid farewell to fans in 2017. "I think so. Next year," so the lead singer says.

"I love this band, I really do, and I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this: The band's over," the 68-year-old rocker opens up. "We're doing a farewell tour, but only because it's time. We've never done that."

Tyler also says that guitarist Joe Perry whom he's sometimes at odds with is aware of the tour plan. He then jokes that their farewell tour might go on "probably forever," just like The Who and KISS which went on multiple "farewell tours."

Aerosmith released their last LP "Music from Another Dimension!" in 2012. Steven Tyler is currently focusing on his solo career and gearing up for the release of his album called "We're All Somebody from Somewhere" next month. Joe Perry has formed Hollywood Vampires with Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper.
