Months after he registered four new songs with the ASCAP, the One Direction member has reportedly signed a solo record deal with Columbia Records.

AceShowbiz - Harry Styles' solo career is officially happening. Following months of rumors, Billboard reports that the One Direction hottie has signed a solo record deal with Columbia Records, the same company his band is signed to.

The deal terms are still unknown and there's still no word on when Hazza's first solo album will be released. He's currently busy filming Christopher Nolan's World War II drama "Dunkirk" which is slated for next year.

Harry has been rumored working on solo music since last year, when he registered four songs with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). Many fans were excited to hear his new tracks, but they also began speculating if the singer's solo career meant the end of One Direction who took a well-deserved break after putting out their latest album "Made in the A.M." back in October.

Multiple reports, however, have confirmed that the band doesn't plan to break up for good. The group, which was formed in 2010 on the U.K.'s "The X Factor", will reportedly reunite at some point in the future.
