Darth Vader Confirmed to Return for 'Rogue One'

The infamous enforcer of the 'Star Wars' movie series is going to return for the next installment led by Felicity Jones.

AceShowbiz - It's official! Darth Vader is going to be revived for the next Star Wars movie due December 16 Stateside. In its latest issue, Entertainment Weekly confirms that the Lord Vader will make appearance in the upcoming spin-off "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" from director Gareth Edwards.

Mads Mikkelsen will play Jyn Erso's father. His character is described as "a scientist whose knowledge is sought by both sides." Ben Mendelsohn is cast in a villainous role as an "ambitious officer, who's eager to earn the favor of the Emperor and avoid the wrath of his black-masked enforcer."

Some interesting tidbits about the team led by Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso to take on the Empire are revealed as well. They are played by Diego Luna, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Forest Whitaker, and one of them "has been seen before by Star Wars fans." Meanwhile, Alan Tudyk will play a performance-capture droid.
