'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Starts Filming, Hannibal Buress Joins Cast

Production for the upcoming 'Spider-Man' movie officially began today in Atlanta, Georgia and is set to continue until mid-September.

AceShowbiz - "Spider-Man: Homecoming" officially began production on Monday, June 20 at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta. Tom Holland shared on Instagram a photo of his chair from the movie set. "First day on the job and I already got my chair #SpiderMan :Homecoming," he captioned it.

Some set photos obtained by Just Jared offered first look at Holland, Zendaya Coleman and Tony Revolori. Holland wore a grey sweatshirt paired with plaid shirt and jeans. Zendaya, meanwhile, donned a white shirt and a black midi skirt.

James Gunn shared on Facebook a picture of him, Chris Pratt and Holland along with some words of encouragement for "Spider-Man: Homecoming", which started filming just after "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" wrapped.

"Many blessings today to the star of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming', Tom Holland, and the film's director, Jon Watts (standing in here for Jon is some dude that was passing by), as they begin their shoot in Atlanta just as we are ending ours," he wrote, "I don't think we could pass the Marvel baton to two nicer, better guys who care more about what they're doing. Kill it!"

According to Variety, Hannibal Buress has been added to the cast of "Spider-Man: Homecoming". It's still unknown what role Hannibal will play. Other actors who have joined the cast over the last several weeks include Logan Marshall-Green and Donald Glover.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is slated for a July 7, 2017 release in the U.S.
