AceShowbiz - "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" has found its new series regular. Wilmer Valderrama is set to star in the 14th season of the veteran CBS drama. The 36-year-old actor expresses his excitement of joining the series on Twitter.

"Thrilled to be joining @NCIS_CBS.. We are gonna have some fun.. And expect the unexpected.. #NCIS @CBS hope you guys are ready," wrote the former star of "That '70s Show". On Wednesday, June 15, he teased his "NCIS" casting announcement by sharing a selfie along with caption, "Ooooooohhh We just closed a huge deal.. Stay tune."

Wilmer will play a once-grounded NCIS field agent who accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced. According to CBS, "Many agents don't know he's still on the job or that he's even alive. Now, he's back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable, charismatic loose cannon."

Wilmer's addition will fill the void left by the original cast member Michael Weatherly who departed the series after 13 years. He is joining returning stars Mark Harmon, Pauley Perrette, Sean Murray, Rocky Carroll, Emily Wickersham, Brian Dietzen and David McCallum.

Executive producer Gary Glasberg said, "Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic 'NCIS' role. Fans are going to see him like they've never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We're thrilled he's coming aboard."
