'Orphan Black' Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

The Tatiana Maslany-starring show is announced to close its chapter after one last season scheduled for 2017 on BBC.

AceShowbiz - "Orphan Black" is coming to an end. Premiering in 2013, the sci-fi series starring Tatiana Maslany as human clones is renewed for one final season. The farewell season is announced to have 10 episodes and air sometime in 2017.

"We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters," co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson say. "The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure, and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC AMERICA and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high."

The announcement was made ahead of the season 4 finale on June 16.
