Celebrity

The former 'Chelsea Lately' host is the latest victim of Twitter hacking which targets celebrities with massive social media followers.

AceShowbiz - Chelsea Handler is the latest celebrity to have her Twitter account hacked. On Tuesday, June 7, someone seized and took over the comedian's Twitter account and posted some random tweets, including the one asking her 5.86 followers to follow Drake.

The hacker went on posting a second tweet which was directed to FaZe Clan, the official account of a gaming community, and said, "Can I join you please?" A few seconds later, a third tweet was posted and read, "I got my account back :) report @trickshotter for spam. they hacked my account."

As it turned out, the third tweet wasn't from Chelsea herself, but it was posted by the hacker. After reading the third tweet, fans were quick to point out that the mastermind of the hacking was @trickshotter. The user accused of being the hacker then tweeted, "Well a hacker decided to tweet at me on a hacked account saying that I'm the hacker, I'm not but I guess it's funny lmao. Just saying, I did not hack @chelseahandler. Somebody is framing me!"

Fortunately, a few hours later Chelsea managed to get her account back.

The hacking followed a series of similar incidents targeting the Twitter accounts of Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, Drake, Lana Del Rey and Jack Black's band Tenacious D.
