The One Direction member will reportedly sign with Simon Cowell's Syco label as a solo artist and release a potential hit 'early next year.'

AceShowbiz - Niall Horan could be the first One Direction member to release solo material during the group's well-deserved hiatus. While Directioners have been waiting for new music from Harry Styles, who's now busy filming his first movie "Dunkirk", Horan is reported to be in talks with Simon Cowell's Syco label to secure himself a solo record deal.
"Niall is the band's secret weapon - Modest and Syco believe he has what it takes to become a break out solo star," an insider told The Sun. "He has the songwriting and music talent, good looks and cheeky Irish personality which made him a favourite in the States. A deal with Syco is going to be signed in the coming weeks and Niall is already back in the studio writing."
The source also claimed that Horan already had a song that could potentially be a big hit. However, it won't arrive until "early next year."
One Direction has been on a break since late last year, months after releasing their latest album "Made in the A.M.". Horan has been spending the past few months playing golf and he even planned to put his music career on hold to start golf agency. But a few weeks ago, new report emerged saying that he had registered a brand new song called "Don't Give Up on Our Love" with the ASCAP. Co-written with Nathan Gosling and Christopher Leonard, the tune still has no release date.
