AceShowbiz - Rest assured, "Grey's Anatomy" fans! Meredith Grey is staying at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Ellen Pompeo has signed a new contract that will keep her in the starring role on the ABC medical drama series for its upcoming 13th season, her rep has confirmed.

The pact comes as it's reported that her previous deal would expire at the end of the 12th season. Details of her new contract are not released, but Deadline reports that she got a raise to $300,000 per episode, making her one of the highest-paid actresses on TV. In 2015, Pompeo ranked fourth in Forbes' list of highest-earning TV actresses with an estimated income of $11.5 million in a year.

Pompeo is one of the few remaining original stars who is still on the show. Sandra Oh who played Dr. Cristina Yang left at the end of season 10, followed by Patrick Dempsey's (Derek Shepherd) surprise exit in season 11. Most recently, Sara Ramirez who played Dr. Callie Torres since the second season also quit the show after 10 years.

Despite the departure of its male lead Dempsey, the show enjoyed a ratings resurgence in its 12th season and ranks as ABC's No. 1 drama among the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
