AceShowbiz - If you're still mulling over whether or not to watch the "Ghostbusters" reboot, you may take these words of Dan Aykroyd into consideration before making the decision. The star of the original "Ghostbusters" movie who also co-created the franchise along with Harold Ramis sang praise to the new film in a statement posted on Facebook on Sunday, May 29.

"As originator of the original: Saw test screening of new movie. Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first 2 films plus Bill Murray is in it!" Aykroyd wrote, adding, "As one of millions of man-fans and Ray Stantz, I'm paying to see that and bringing all my friends!"

Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts are all set to make cameo appearances in "Ghostbusters (2016)", but the lead stars of the new movie are Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. The all-female main cast are joined by Chris Hemsworth, who stars as Kevin the receptionist.

Directed by Paul Feig, the supernatural comedy is heading into theaters across the nation on July 15.
