'The Bachelorette' Recap: Proposals and Villain Already in Week 2
TV

Chad calls JoJo Fletcher 'naggy' and pushes the other guys over the edges, but the Bachelorette 'appreciated Chad's honesty.'

AceShowbiz - JoJo Fletcher went on her first dates on "The Bachelorette" in the second episode of season 12 which aired on Monday, May 30. As JoJo got to know more about her suitors, we got to know who Chad really is.

The episode began with a group date with Ali, Daniel, Evan, Grant, James F., Luke, Robby, Vinny, Wells and Will. JoJo showed up in a firefighter's uniform and they went to a firefighting training facility where they would compete in a number of drills.

The firemen drills were a bit tough for Wells, a radio deejay who wasn't trained for this. He nearly fainted, but the perk was that he got some one-on-one time with JoJo. He also made the final three for not giving up along with Luke and Grant. They were tasked to save JoJo from a burning tower and Grant, a professional firefighter, unsurprisingly won the competition.

Grant spent some time with JoJo and got a brief kiss later that night. Luke also made out with JoJo, but it's Wells who got the group date rose.

The next morning, Derek got the first one-on-one date. He and JoJo headed to the Golden Gate bridge in San Fransisco. They had a picnic lunch and kissed. Later in the night, Derek opened up that his last girlfriend hurt him. She gave him a rose.

Alex, Chad, Christian, James Taylor, Jordan and Nick B. were on the second group date. She took the six guys to the ESPN studios to meet SportsNation hosts Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley. There, they did some silly challenges and the hosts would rank them.

One of the challenges had the guys spin their heads around a baseball bat and then propose to JoJo with an oversized ring. It was during this challenge that Chad called JoJo "naggy," which later became a talk among the other men. Earlier in the episode, Chad declared that he's "way better than the other guys" and made weird protein shake metaphors about his competitors.

Still, JoJo seemingly didn't see the red flag. During some alone time, Chad opened up to JoJo that he hadn't been in a relationship for four years and his mother died six months earlier. They made out. However, JoJo gave the group date rose to James.

At the cocktail party, Chad pushed the men over the edge by interrupting their conversations with JoJo. Some of the guys confronted him, but he didn't seem to care. He also ate all the meat served for the guys. Ali called him "disrespectful," and Alex finally told Chad to knock it off, but Chad threatened to knock Alex's teeth out.

JoJo then handed out the roses. Those who didn't get a rose and got sent packing were Will, Brandon and "Bachelor" superfan James S.
