The song producer debunked indie artist White Hinterland's lawsuit, writing, 'SORRY but we didnt steal this.'

AceShowbiz - Skrillex has a proof that "Sorry" is his and Justin Bieber's pure creation. The producer responded to the lawsuit filed by indie artist Casey Dienel a.k.a. White Hinterland who claimed that the pop star's hit was a rip-off of her song "Ring the Bell".

Hinterland wrote on her Facebook page on Thursday, May 26 afternoon, "I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into writing and producing 'Ring the Bell', ...I have worked very hard to preserve my independence and creative control, thus it came as a shock to hear my work used and exploited without permission." She said she was "forced" to file the lawsuit because "like most artists that sample music, Bieber could have licensed my song for use in 'Sorry.' But he chose not to contact me."

Skrillex, who was also named in the lawsuit, posted a video on Friday to show his Twitter followers how the vocal loop in question was created. He pulled up the original a capella performed by co-writer Julia Michaels and showed how he cut and manipulated it for Bieber's song. "SORRY but we didnt steal this," Skrillex captioned the video and tagged producer Blood.

Diplo, who worked with Skrillex and Bieber on Jack U's "Where Are U Now", previously offered his opinion on how it could happen. He thought Hinterland's allegations could be true because there were too many people working in one song. He predicted that Bieber would have to rack out some money to pay Hinterland and to avoid court.

Diplo said he was caught in a similar situation for Beyonce Knowles' "All Night" but he was quick to recognize it. "Somebody added it and then didn't tell anybody, so it's just they should have fact checked it," he told TMZ.
