The "Britain's Got Talent" judge hoped that she could inspire people to go vegetarian because it had many benefits. She also said that the healthy lifestyle could improve her health as well as keep her body slim. "For me, there are many benefits," she revealed. "My skin's always good. I never feel bloated."

"I don't really know what prompted it but my mum says that even when I was really little I would eat all the veggies off the plate, including broad beans," she recalled. "And I used to leave the meat or keep it stuffed in my mouth and spit it down the toilet secretly. When I was old enough to understand that meat was actually animals there was a point where I went, 'No more.' "

She went on saying that being a vegetarian could also give positive impacts on earth. "Each person who goes vegetarian drastically reduces his or her carbon footprint and spares many animals every year immense suffering on factory farms, in abattoirs and on the decks of fishing boats," she explained.

"For anyone who thinks being vegetarian is tricky, it's rubbish. There are so many so many products you can buy - meat substitutes if that's what you want, vegetables, lentils, pulses, there are a million things you can cook and use," she added.
