After nine years, JT returned to the No. 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100 with his latest hit 'Can't Stop the Feeling' from the soundtrack of 'Trolls'.

AceShowbiz - Three years after releasing his latest album, Justin Timberlake returned with what everyone's sure would be one of the biggest hits of 2016. In early May, the singer dropped the infectious "Can't Stop the Feeling" which instantly topped the singles charts, including the Billboard Hot 100.

The song arrived on the list at No. 1 to become Timberlake's first-ever single, and only the 26th track in the Hot 100 history, to debut atop the chart. The former boybander, however, has scored four other No. 1 hits as a solo artist with "SexyBack" in 2006, "My Love" featuring T.I. also in 2006, "What Goes Around... Comes Around" in 2007 and his 2007 collaboration with Timbaland, "Give It to Me".

"Can't Stop the Feeling" was co-written by Timberlake along with Swedish hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback for DreamWorks' "Trolls". The 35-year-old singer will also executive produce the soundtrack album, which is due out on November 4, the same day the animated flick is hitting U.S. theaters. He's additionally involved in the movie to voice a character called Branch.

The soundtrack isn't the only JT project fans can look forward to. In a recent interview with iHeartRadio, he confirmed he had a new album underway, though he's not sure when the follow-up to 2013's "The 20/20 Experience" and "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2" would officially come out.

"We started working on the soundtrack and I just felt really inspired and it kind of worked its way in me to working on another record," he shared. "[The album is] in such an infant stage right now, so I don't have any plans [to release it yet]."
