AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel took to Instagram on Saturday, May 21 to pay tribute to Paul Walker and give an update on "Fast and Furious 8" after the first week on the filming set. The 48-year-old actor shared a throwback photo of him and Paul smiling widely.
"Many of the crew members who have worked on several of the past 'Fast' films are here again to help us make something special," Vin wrote, "One of them at the end of the week came up to me and said wow what we are capturing on film is excellent... And then looked at me and said Paul would be proud. #wemakethemwithourhearts."
Earlier this month, Ludacris opened up to PEOPLE about his final memories of Paul. "[Paul] was my brother. We had a shared bond over our birthdays, which are both in September," he shared, "When you lose a family member, you lose a part of yourself."
"My favorite and last memory was during the last scene we filmed together," he recalled, "Tyrese [Gibson], Paul and I were in a car together and we had this great long conversation because we kept shooting the scene over and over. We talked about life, evolution, getting older and wiser and what we have learned. It was a really great final memory of him."
"Fast 8", starring Vin, Ludacris, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron, will be released in the U.S. on April 14, 2017.
