Jodie received a nearly four-minute standing ovation after the premiere of 'Money Monster' at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday evening, May 12.

Julia could be seen with watery eyes as the crowd erupted in applause and cheers for Jack O'Connell when he appeared on the big screen from the theater camera feed after the movie. While walking the carpet, Julia could be seen saying "this is crazy" to Jodie in reference to the crush of photographers.

Julia and Jodie attended the premiere along with co-star George Clooney, who was accompanied by his wife Amal Clooney. Jessica Chastain, Susan Sarandon, Naomi Watts, Diego Luna and Julianne Moore were also seen in attendance.

Directed by Jodie from a script by Alan Di Fiore, "Money Monster" stars George as Lee Gates, an investment pundit on a financial TV show, who along with his producer Patty Fenn (Julia), is taken hostage on-air by an angry investor Kyle Budwell (Jack). The movie hits U.S. theaters on May 13.
