'Booster Gold' Movie Moves Forward With 'Thor' Scribe and Greg Berlanti

The project announced by WB and DC late last year reportedly will no longer feature Booster's cop buddy Blue Beetle.

AceShowbiz - The untitled Booster Gold/Blue Beetle Movie which was first announced in September 2015 has started to move forward. However, the project is no longer proposed as "superhero buddy cop movie" and would entirely focus on Booster Gold.

Zack Stentz, the scribe behind "Thor" and the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie, is said to be writing the script. The writer himself hinted in a recent podcast that he was writing a secret project for DC Comics and Warner Bros. "The Incredible Hulk" scribe Zak Penn was previously linked to the project but that apparently did not happen.

In addition to Stentz's involvement, Birth. Movies. Death reported that Greg Berlanti would get behind the project as producer and, possibly, director. Berlanti is the driving force behind the successful DC Comics TV series such as "Arrow" and "The Flash".

Booster Gold is DC universe's equivalent of Tony Stark or Iron Man, famous for his snarky attitude, flashy nature and reputation for being a showboat.
