AceShowbiz - Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, did a stirring cover of Lady GaGa's "Till It Happens to You" when she was attending the Humane Society's "To the Rescue!" Gala in Los Angeles. Taking the stage at Paramount Studios on Saturday, May 7, the singer wowed the crowd as well as GaGa with her emotional rendition of the anti-rape culture anthem.
"I want to dedicate this song to every man, woman, child and animal that has ever been abused," she said before launching into the song and showing off her powerful vocal over the piano played by Diane Warren, a songwriter behind the Oscar-nominated track.
Kesha wore a soft pink Azzi & Osta gown and sported new hair color during the event. She was seen pausing several times when singing the first few lines of the song which she, as a sexual abuse victim, could totally relate to.
Her performance received a standing ovation from the audience and a rave review from GaGa. "Killed it @KeshaRose. I could feel your pain. Girl these boys won't be in charge forever. The wisdom of women is rising. Let's get louder," the Mother Monster praised her in a tweet.

Kesha also thanked GaGa, Warren and everyone who made her beautiful that night in a lengthy Instagram post shared Sunday. "THANK GOD for @ladygaga," she wrote, captioning a picture of her posing in her pretty dress. "Till it happens to you ( written by the f**king genius @warren_diane + gaga) is such a vulnerable display of courage and hope. thank you both so much for bringing that message to the world in the form of such a beautiful song."
"It was an honor to perform it last night. we are so lucky to have you both. with enough guts, strength and truth, WE CAN change the system . when women empower each other instead of tear each other down, we can f**king change the world. the truth can't be stopped. love u girls," she added.
