AceShowbiz - Celine Dion is picked as a special honoree at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. The Canadian singer is set to receive Icon Award and take the stage to deliver a special rendition of Queen's 1991 hit "The Show Must Go on" at the event taking place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena on May 22.

"Celine Dion has a huge repertoire of monster hits and she personally chose to perform 'The Show Must Go On' as her ICON performance on the Billboard Music Awards," BBMA executive producer Mark Bracco says. "I think at this moment in her life, the song has many meanings and it's an amazing choice."

The prize-giving event will be Dion's first televised performance since the death of her husband Rene Angelil earlier this year. Ludacris and Ciara serve as co-hosts. Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Pink and DNCE are lined up as musical guests while Britney Spears will be feted with Millennium Award.
