'The Flash' 2.21 Preview: Barry Can't Go Back
TV

Wells and Henry are arguing about Barry's fate as he is stuck somewhere in the corner of the universe.

AceShowbiz - Barry and Wells decided to recreate the particle accelerator explosion in the latest episode of "The Flash" despite strong objection from Barry's father Henry (John Wesley Shipps). [SPOILER ALERT!] But instead of gaining his speed back, Barry was disintegrated and becoming a cloud of energy.

But Barry isn't dead yet, according to Wells. In a preview for the next episode, he believes that Barry is stuck somewhere out there in the universe. Barry himself is seen meeting familiar people but it appears to be in different time or alternate life. While Wells struggles to get Barry back, an argument between him and Henry erupts at S.T.A.R. Labs.

"The Runaway Dinosaur" airs Tuesday, May 10 at 8/7c on The CW. With Barry gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy - Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life.

Kevin Smith directed the new episode which was written by Zack Stentz. It has just been reported that Smith will return to direct an episode for the first half of season 3.

In other news, "The Flash" has snagged Leo Awards nominations along with fellow The CW series, "Arrow" and "iZombie". The Grant Gustin-starring show earned three nods for Best Direction for a Dramatic TV Series for "Enter Zoom", Visual Effects in a Dramatic Series for "Gorilla Warfare", and stunt coordination for "Legends of Today".
