The Ant-Man depicter reveals his fanboy moment when he met Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans on the set, where he also got a chance to hold Captain America's shield.

AceShowbiz - Paul Rudd is a real Marvel fanboy. The actor, who stars as the title character in 2015's "Ant-Man", revealed he completely "fangirled" when he was on the set of "Captain America: Civil War" to reprise his role as Ant-Man.

The 47-year-old admitted that filming the Ant-Man movie "was like working in a bubble." And "all of a sudden, I'm standing around and seeing Robert Downey Jr. in the Iron Man suit, and seeing Chris Evans and all [the actors] are there," he said on BBC's "The Graham Norton Show".

He recalled seeing Sebastian Stan, who plays the Winter Soldier, putting on his character's silver arm. "It was like I was watching somebody bathing," Rudd joked. "I was like, 'I'm not supposed to see this!' But I did. I went over there and felt the arm."

The "Wet Hot American Summer" star also got a chance to hold Captain America's shield. When Chris Evans who plays the Cap "had to run to the bathroom really quick" and "asked a prop guy to hold his shield," Rudd convinced the prop guy to let him hold the shield.

"I was running around with it like, 'Wow, it's heavier than I imagined!' " he went on sharing, "But you know, it's made of vibranium. Of course it's going to be heavy."

"Civil War" which also stars Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Jeremy Renner, Emily VanCamp and Martin Freeman is due out in the U.S. on May 6.
