Mads Mikkelsen Drops Big Spoiler About 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'
Movie

The Danish actor accidentally reveals the character he plays in the secretive movie and his relationship with the main character Jyn Erso.

AceShowbiz - Mads Mikkelsen just filled a huge hole in the mystery surrounding "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story". In a new interview, the Danish actor accidentally revealed a key detail about his character, which possibly is a big spoiler in the movie.

While discussing the "Star Wars" anthology movie, Mikkelsen warned Sky News interviewer that he might have to kill her and the audience if he had to talk about it. But the reporter managed to trick him into revealing what he felt when he was first asked to star in the pic.

[SPOILER ALERT!] "A little scared," Mikkelsen said. "I wasn't really sure if I was wearing a Stormtrooper outfit or anything like that at that point. I wasn't sure I could fit into that. I read the script. It was very beautiful. And Felicity [Jones] is playing this lovely, strong woman, and I play her father." The actor realized his mistake and apologized that he had said too much. Striking while the iron was hot, the reporter attempted to ask him whether Darth Vader would be in the movie. Mikkelsen said with a smile, "Yes, I can. But I won't."

This is not the first time that Mikkelsen gave a hint about the character. In August last year he told a Danish news outlet that "no, my character is actually not a bad guy." Last fall he also signed a fan's poster with his autograph and the name "Galen".

But it's not known how big his presence will be in the film because the character did not appear in the first teaser trailer released earlier this month. The teaser did spoil one fact that Jones' Jyn Erso had been alone since the age of 15, meaning the father could either be dead or MIA.

"Rogue One", directed by Gareth Edwards, will hit U.S. theaters December 16.
