While attending the TIME 100 Gala in New York City, the 33-year-old actor said that the GOP frontrunner might 'put my parents under surveillance, since they're Muslim.'

AceShowbiz - While some famous faces like Caitlyn Jenner praised Donald Trump at the TIME 100 Gala in New York City Tuesday night, April 26, there's at least one person who wasn't impressed with the Republican presidential frontrunner and it's Aziz Ansari. While attending the event, he blasted Trump, hinting that he was disappointed with the 69-year-old politician's abusive rhetoric on Muslims.

"He's coming?" a surprised Ansari asked of Trump on the red carpet of the star-studded event. "Oh yeah, he asked for me to be seated in a different area," Ansari joked. "I'll go ask him if he's going to put my parents under surveillance, since they're Muslim."

Trump has come under fire for his views on Muslims, especially when he told the society about his plan to ban all Muslims from entering the U.S. Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, whose parents are Muslim, is among those who are against Trump.

Most recently, the wife of George Clooney called out Trump's proposed Muslim ban during a BBC interview. "When you listen to what the leading candidate on the Republican side has been saying about building walls, about excluding Mexicans and a complete shutdown of all Muslims entering in, and if you actually look at what he specifically said in that now infamous speech about Muslims, he kept saying, 'They only want jihad. They don't believe in our way of life. They don't respect our system,' " she said.

"And when he says 'they' and you watch the media coverage afterwards, people, I think, should have been saying, 'Do you mean the 1.5 billion people around the world who fit that description?' " she added. " 'Do you mean the people who are U.S. citizens who are members of your military who are, the vast majority of whom are not violent or extremists in any way?' "
