AceShowbiz - NBC has added two more actors to its "Hairspray" live musical. "Dancing with the Stars" pro Derek Hough and "Saturday Night Live" alum Martin Short are confirmed to join previously-announced cast Jennifer Hudson and Harvey Fierstein.

In the upcoming "Hairspray Live!", Hough is expected to play Corny Collins who was portrayed by James Marsden in the 2007 movie version while Short is tapped as Edna Turnblad's husband Wilbur who was previously played by Christopher Walken.

Hudson is booked to take the role of Motormouth Maybelle who was played by Queen Latifah on the big screen and Fierstein is set to reprise his role as Edna Turnblad that earned him a Tony Award on the Broadway version. The character was played by John Travolta in the film.

"We welcome Marty to the network in May in his new variety show with Maya Rudolph and we think he will be the perfect long-term companion to Harvey's Edna," NBC's Chairman Robert Greenblatt says. "And hands-down the best dancer on television and one of the best in the entertainment business, Derek Hough, will be perfect in the role of Corny Collins, the cocky song-and-dance-man who hosts the TV show every teenager in Baltimore wants to be on."
