'Wolverine 3' Casts Richard E. Grant in 'Mad-Scientist Type' Role

AceShowbiz - The 20th Century Fox has found another bad guy for "The Wolverine 3" in Richard E. Grant. The actor has officially signed on to play what The Hollywood Reporter describes as "a villainous mad-scientist type."

Other details regarding his character are still unknown, but fans are speculating that Grant could portray Professor Andre Thorton, Dr. Abraham Cornelius or even Mister Sinister. The 58-year-old star joins the cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Boyd Holbrook.

"Wolverine 3" is scheduled to start filming in New Orleans and New Mexico next month. To be directed by James Mangold from a script by David James Kelly, the movie is planned to be released in the U.S. on March 3, 2017.

Recently, rumors surfaced suggesting that X-23 could also appear in the movie. The character made her comic book debut in 2004, after originally being conceived and debuting in the animated series "X-Men: Evolution".
