The 'Real Housewives of New York City' star responds to accusation that she advised black women to have white males as the face of their companies.

AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel broke her silence after she came under fire for allegedly suggesting black women at a New York City event to hire white males as the face of their companies. The Skinnygirl founder took it to Twitter to deny ever giving such advice.

"The only problem is thag (sic) none of this happened," the Bravo reality TV star responded to her online follower who tweeted an article about her alleged comment. "Never let the truth get in the way of trying to get attention." She added, "Funny how in a room of hundreds of people & phones no one has me saying it. Don't speak unless ur educated on the topic."

When another fan asked what exactly she said when she gave the keynote speech at the Project Entrepreneur summit in the Big Apple, Frankel replied, "1)be better than men 2)i find hard to believe u need white man to sell 3) only you know what you need for your biz."

"The Real Housewives of New York City" star was also accused of saying that she felt some kind of kinship with black women because she's "loud." In an article published on The Huffington Post, one of the attendees, Mary Pryor, claimed she was shut down by host when trying to speak out.

Unlike Frankel, Project Entrepreneur didn't exactly deny that she made the offensive comments. They said, "We understand that guests were offended during our Day 1 luncheon, following remarks made by our speaker. This was not our intention and is contrary to our goals."

"We apologize to our guests. We launched Project Entrepreneur to champion all women. We thank those of you who candidly spoke out and welcome this important dialogue. We look forward to continuing to empower women entrepreneurs as they build their businesses."
