'Scandal' 5.18 Preview: How Olivia Deals With the Shocking Kill and Jake's Wedding
TV

See how Olivia turns to drink and Jake in the aftermath of what she has done to the person who orchestrated her kidnapping in season 4.

AceShowbiz - "Scandal" just featured a shocking twist as a person died at the hands of [SPOILER ALERT!] Olivia Pope. Yes, the fixer who despises her father's ruthless nature went out of control and violently killed Andrew Nichols, the person who was behind her kidnapping in season 4, in the latest episode.

We don't blame Olivia though, since Andrew's return meant no good for some of our favorite protagonists. He's set for a tell-all interview with Fitz's new girlfriend Lillian Forrester. After several attempts to silence Andrew, Olivia looked for her father for help, but Rowan told her that she needed to kill him.

When Olivia met Andrew, who's now bound to wheelchair due to stroke at the hands of Huck in last season, she had flashbacks of her harrowing kidnapping and unleashed her anger, beating Andrew with a chair to death.

And if you're taken aback by the violent kill, you're not alone. Kerry Washington herself told E! At the New York City premiere of her HBO film "Confirmation", "I will say I was as shocked as you were, so everybody just breathe."

Next week, we'll see Olivia in downward spiral following her action. She apparently turns to drink and seeks solace in sex with Jake, while Fitz continues to worry about her. Meanwhile, a wedding may come sooner than later as the date of Jake and Vanessa's nuptials has been moved up.

"Till Death Do Us Part" airs Thursday, April 21 at 9/8c on ABC. As Olivia deals with the aftermath of what she's done, she finally finds out what exactly Jake and Rowan are plotting. But with their plans already in motion, Olivia is forced to make a gut-wrenching attempt to try and stop it. Meanwhile, in flashbacks, we learn more about Jake's past and how he first got involved with B6-13.
