The sixth season ended in a huge cliffhanger as the big villain, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), finally made his debut appearance.

AceShowbiz - No one is safe as "The Walking Dead" wrapped up its sixth season. As teased, Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan made his debut toward the end of the 90-minute season finale with his barb-wired baseball bat Lucille, ready to swing it at one of the survivors.

In "The Last Day on Earth" which aired Sunday, April 3, Rick and Co. were heading to the Hilltop to meet a doctor as Maggie and her baby appeared to be in medical distress. On their way, they were captured by a bunch of Saviors who took them to Negan.

Negan played an eerie game of eeny, meeny, miny, moe as he tried to decide whom he would kill. The episode ended after Negan swung his bat, but the camera shifted its point of view to the victim, hence leaving fans wondering which of the beloved characters, Rick, Michonne, Glenn, Daryl, Rosita, Carl, Maggie, Aaron, Eugene, Abraham and Sasha, was killed by Negan.

Speaking on after show "The Talking Dead", series creator Robert Kirkman confirmed that Negan's "killing somebody who is very beloved to everyone." Showrunner Scott M. Gimple, meanwhile, revealed how the death set the story for the upcoming season 7, "When we reveal who's on the receiving end, that's going to be the start of another story. The kickback effects from that, what it makes everyone into, how they react, how the world changes for everyone - that's the next part of the story."
