No More Zack Snyder for DC Movies? Fans Try to Get Him Fired From 'Justice League'

While 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' has a successful debut at the box office, a fan thinks it's time that WB and DC choose a director who doesn't divide fans.

AceShowbiz - Have Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics given Zack Snyder enough chance to prove himself capable of making superhero movies? Following lukewarm response to 2013's "Man of Steel" and negative reviews received by its follow-up "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", fans think it's time for the helmer to hand over the reins to another person.

Bryan Cruz has started a petition on Change.org, asking Snyder to be removed from upcoming "Justice League" movie. "He's had two chances now to adapt DC characters and has produced middling results," Cruz reasoned.

While "Batman v Superman" broke records at box office with its $166 million debut domestically, the movie was panned by critics. Cruz pointed out, "There has to come a time when WB and DC want someone at the helm that can create something that WON'T divide people in such a way."

"Zack Snyder is just not the guy that should be in charge of the biggest and most important films in the franchise. Especially with his track record now," he added.

The petition has garnered more than 3,800 signatures out of its goal of 5,000 signatures since it was launched six days ago.

The second petition, which was launched by Taufique Radhakrishnan in India, even asked that Snyder be removed from the DCEU entirely. "This guy has already doomed the franchise with two critical flops in 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman v Superman'. He's a great visual artist, but cannot tell a good story," he argued.

Only 555 people supported the second petition so far.

Snyder has been tapped to direct "Justice League Part One", which will begin filming in April, and "Justice League Part Two".
