Cruz and two of the women reported to have had affair with the Republican presidential candidate have denied the cheating allegations.

AceShowbiz - Ted Cruz has spoken up after National Enquirer reported that he had cheated on his wife Heidi Cruz with at least five women. Speaking at a press conference in Wisconsin on Friday, March 25, he denied the allegations and accused Republican presidential rival Donald Trump of planting the story.

"I want to be crystal clear: these attacks are garbage," he told the press. "For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald won't go. These smears are completely false, they're offensive to Heidi and me, they're offensive to our daughters, and they're offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack. Donald Trump's consistently disgraceful behavior is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to follow."

A portion of the story was first published online Wednesday before it hit newsstands. While the faces of Cruz's alleged mistresses were blurred, many quickly pointed out that two of the women are Trump's campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson and Cruz's former communications director Amanda Carpenter.

Both women have denied the allegations. Pierson took to Twitter to address the rumor, "Of course the National Enquirer story is 100|percent| FALSE!!! I only speak to myself, however." Carpenter said on CNN, "If someone wants to comment on it, they can talk to my lawyer." She added, "It's categorically false. You should be ashamed for spreading this kind of smut."
